"I love to do my current job as a manual QA tester. I've gotten to learn new things from my coworkers and from projects we've been doing. However, as a technical person, good understanding about technology, hopefully I can do better in future."
"Game developers and publishers do not respect QA Testers at all. QA Test employees are treated as outcasts and are not respected at all by upper management. The pay is quite horrible, and QA is not entitled to the same bonuses as every other employee that is employed by the company. QA test employees often put work horrible long work shifts that usually average 15+ hours during crunch time and never feel appreciated though the company will make tens of millions of dollars from our work. When we perform our job duties in informing production or design in concepts and designs that are not of great quality, our information is always disregarded, making QA tester feel disrespected in that we can't even perform our job capabilities. There is no room for advancement as a QA employee as you will be passed up when attempting to advance yourself within the company, as your employer will seek outside help which further reduces employee morale."
"I love my QA job. It gave me new life."
"Testing is both creative and logical."
"What I like the most is it's challenging, a learning experience and work under different environment. QA could be very stressful but there isn't anything I don't like about testing."
"I like helping people resolve technical issues, but when tools aren't always accessible to do so, it can impede expedient assistance."
"As a QA tester, I love the fact that I am doing a service. I am ensuring to millions of potential customers that the product they will buy is in good if not great standing. What I do not like about being a contract QA tester is that contracts expire, and there is little recognition from the consumer and industry of the skill needed to do such a task."
"I love everything about the job. I enjoy training other associates to help them improve in their work. That is a rare privilege."
"I loved the job as it helped keep a little money in my pocket while I was in college. Great workplace. Interesting people. Would be nice to get paid more though."
"The fulfilling thing about being QA tester is that company is relying on you to ensure that the product is of as good of a quality as humanly possible under the circumstances before it is released. This is a serious responsibility and can't be taken lightly. The work hours are also very flexible and pay is good. Only major drawback I see is not having sufficient knowledge to handle the project."
