What do you like about working at PwC?

"The people I work with are great, and I have made a lot of friends with my coworkers."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be sure that you enjoy the work you will be doing, because the hours are long, the work is difficult, and the rewards/compensation and the toll it takes on your personal life are not worth it, unless you really love the job."

What don't you like about working at PwC?

"For all of the long hours, difficult work, and demanding clients and managers whom we all deal with, it is very frustrating to feel as though we deal with all of these things and then are not appropriately recognized or compensated for our hard work. The pay is inadequate for the hours worked, and promotions are not merit-based, but merely a matter of sitting in your desk for a designated period of time."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would do a better job of appropriately recognizing the accomplishments of my people and rewarding them appropriately."

What do you like about working at PwC?

"The group I am on stresses hours billed, and not always efficiency or effectiveness. Sometimes I get mutually exclusive demands for billed hours and the work I am performing."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It is a good place to work if you can handle the lack of direction and expertise that some of management has. But I do not speak for all the managers. So far, about half of them have not been experts in their field. I feel like they just wing it the best they can. Again, that is not everyone."

What don't you like about working at PwC?

"People are really good friends; however, some managers do not know how to manage well and help you keep billed (which they are somewhat responsible for)."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would get rid of some of the personal metrics and incentives that can sometimes pit employees against each other."

"Working at PwC was the best experience of my career."

What do you like about working at PwC?

"I like the work methodology and how the employees are treated."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Have specific questions, and understand what the delivery center is, versus the practice office."

What don't you like about working at PwC?

"The only reason I left PwC was the 1.5 commute."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would recommend setting up a system for advancement for the supervisors."

"Culture of mediocrity."

What do you like about working at PwC?

"For some reason the larger corporations come to PwC for tax advice."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Stop over-billing. It's unfair to the customers, and unethical. The pay is pretty poor too."

What don't you like about working at PwC?

"I dislike everything. If you want to get ahead here, be mediocre--they reward mediocrity."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Nothing. It is what it is, a big accounting firm that just churns out the same product over and over for a very high price by mildly competent people."

"I think PwC is more focused on core consulting and financial audit services. Technology consulting is a proprietary service they offer. Thus they don't focus in technology growth model."
