"I’ve worked for Publix Supermarkets for 19 years. Publix is a major supermarket company located in the southeastern United States. They have more than 1,200 stores and continue to open/ remodel current stores every year. They are a privately held company that is owned by the associates who work there and as a result they own stock as well."
"I would say Publix Distribution is a great opportunity for anyone who is having a hard time finding a job. I wouldn't be complacent with it unless you don't have any other career aspirations."
"Overall it is an good company with good benefits. Publix provides you many opportunities to excel and grow."
"Great company to work for."

What do you like about working at Publix Super Markets?
"The culture of the company is very open and makes getting help much easier."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Overall a great company to work for, just have to watch out for managers interested only in their own income."
What don't you like about working at Publix Super Markets?
"Local management has lost the key values that our founder wanted at the local level. (ie honesty)"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Listen to the employees more than your income. If the department wants a meeting, let them meet."
"I've been in Publix Supermarkets for over 25 years, and I cannot say anthing bad about the company. Honestly, it has provided me with a place to grow and nurture my career for several years. Overall, I loved the time that I have spent there. However, unfortunately due to the changing times, it appears that management has turned for the worse in terms of allowing individuals who care more about productivity than the wellbeing of employees. Growing in a toxic environment is simply a place where no one can succeed."
"While most people may look at a supermarket deli job as "not very glamorous", it was a particularly important stepping stone for me in my maturing process from "distracted teenager" to "focused adult". The work environment that I experience was positive, and while the pay would make it almost impossible for someone to survive on only it as their only job, it is a great experience for younger individuals looking to develop certain professional skills such as responsibility, accountability, and communication and team work."
