"Smart people doing good work while having fun."

What do you like about working at Taylor & Francis?

"Don't let the stuffy name and long history fool you. This is a great place to work. While no place is perfect, most of the staff are capable, friendly, and helpful. There are a handful of jackasses but they are outweighed by a bevy of funny, happy, brilliant people that don't take themselves too seriously. We do good work here.I can honestly say that I'm genuinely happy when I arrive at work most days. Most. They are incredibly family friendly, there is a work-life balance that cannot be beat. Management is good. There will always be those who grumble, but they are good. T & F is diverse, invested in the well-being of its employees, environmentally sensitive, and active participants in both global and local charities. You will smile more than you frown. You will be challenged and will learn lots."

"I met some good people there. My boss was good at trusting me to take on projects and work independently."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

I was later laid off after pushing through a major project; while that might have just been bad timing, it made me feel used up and discarded by the company. I regret having worked there."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Announcements about changes in policy were very top-down and detached. This was just one of the things that really depressed morale."
