What do you like about working at National Safety Council?
"The OT I have gotten out of working 7 days a week for 3 months straight."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Only interview with this company if we would like to work for DDC or Advocacy. They are the ONLY departments that are staffed. Every other department sees extreme cutbacks in EVERY aspect."
What don't you like about working at National Safety Council?
"The staff is extremely overworked. Most departments are extremely understaffed. There are way too many managers and too few worker bees. I believe that the CEOs do not listen to majority of their staff. I believe that the company is not honest. They lie to their members and stretch the truth about what is really going on at the council. IT is not supported by the Council well. It is hard to get ideas and procedures implemented. The staff does not receive the tools they need to complete their job."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Hire more worker bees. Listen to your staff, and work better with other departments. We are not in highschool anymore. There should not be clicks in the office."
What do you like about working at L & W?
"The work was fast paced and I could see the results of my efforts. I had direct contact with our customers and understood their needs."

"Be honest, put in a good days work for fair pay and treat everyone with respect. You will then get along fine."
What don't you like about working at L & W?
"Physical conditions are dirty and work load is seasonal. Doors are always open so the weather effects the atmosphere."

"Find more work to fill in the slow times to keep everyone busy."

"Long hours need to have job done as changes impact a lot of people (the company is huge)"

"Keep listening to employees - please provide more guidance on time management and life-balance as employees work for long hours too frequently"

"There are insane deadlines, but you get used to it! (I did, at least)."
