"Hierarchy was too formal & not open to new ideas from people with backgrounds outside of consulting companies--even thought these ideas represented their prospects & clients!"

"When the economy was good, you could make a lot of money, with no ceiling."

"Commission only today can be very challenging in the home improvement industry."

What don't you like about working at Sears?

"When the economy crashed, the sales were directly related to the housing market and finance. People stopped buying 10000 to 30000 products. The job is 100% commission."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Go back to the old method of pay, base salary plus commission, which will not waste so much on turnover/training and will create a more veteran staff."
