"Progressus Therapy thinks that, if you work for them, they own you. I worked for them for two years, 2012-2014. During my second year, my hours were reduced, so I decided to seek employment elsewhere. I had also decided that working for a placement agency was not a good career choice for those who are veteran SLPs. Being a contractor, as opposed to being an employee of a school system, meant that I could not participate in the state’s Teacher Retirement System; I could not make a salary that was based on my years of experience; and I was at the mercy of the weather, since I only got paid for the days in which I worked. I informed Progressus that I was leaving, and I secured an administrative position with another school. Well, when the school contacted Progresses Therapy to verify my employment, the school was told that I had been fired. This was a complete and total lie! But, they did not care, because they wanted to force me to remain with them, and this was the way they had decided to do it. The job offer was rescinded, and I had to scramble to find another position, which was difficult, because Progressus Therapy works with most school systems here in North Georgia, and I feel strongly that they blacklisted me in their continued attempts to force me to return to their employ. They are still molesting me, as I just received a call from one of their representatives. Whom I told, in no uncertain terms, that I wouldn’t work for them if they were the last company on earth!!!"
