"People that climb the ranks at progressive primarily are the teacher's pet types. Watch what you say, focus on improving customer service."

What don't you like about working at Progressive?

"People are promoted without the required skills; the same people are moved into business areas that they do not have expertise in, essentially taking a supervisor position away from a qualified individual. Progressive says that they do this to create balanced managers, but everyone suspects favoritism."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would put an emphasis on promoting people from within that have all the necessary qualifications. This would help foster and encourage an environment which employees are motivated in their specific fields"
