"Progress was a great company; got to work on many project for the Power Generation teams. Projects were challenging and fun."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I have not worked in the new Duke environment and under my new management long enough for a valid answer here. My suggestion would be to be more focused on project management then actual project development."

What don't you like about working at Progress Energy?

"Progress has been purchased by Duke Energy and the Raleigh and the corporate culture does not seem to moving in a direction for me. I am wanting a more challenging development and innovation based project structure."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Duke Energy's new management is less focused on developing innovative technologies and more interested in vendor solutions and contract development."

"The people were great/fun, my job was fun & exciting, I had free reign to accomplish my goals."

"To be aware of layoffs in Q4 every year, it happens"

What don't you like about working at Progress Energy?

"Politics were introduced at the exec level, and the program was taken away & eliminated. This happened frequently."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"When they plan, start and execute programs, they need to stick with them vs. killing them off 75% of the time. Too much time, staff and energy is wasted."

"There was nothing I didn't like about Progress Energy (SaiPeople Solutions). I wish I was a permanent employee."

"Just to keep doing what they are doing. Communication is very important in all organizations and at Progress Energy, management always communicated with staff."

"I was given free reign with federal accounts in their service territory."

"Serving utilities are extremely conservative with their business models."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I don't think I know enough about the laws and regulations regarding serving utilities and the utilities commission to make any educated recommendations to the leadership."
