"Not enough focus on development of basic fundamental skills for talent"

"Simplify some practices. Integrate more, less silos and separate business measures"

"Boeing was and is a great place to work."
What do you like about working at Boeing?
"I spent 30 years, and worked all over the country. I was in management for 24 of my 30 years. I couldn't be happier anywhere else as far as work goes. I got to meet new people and still keep in touch with most of them. I retired to open up my own Alaska Native consulting firm."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Make sure you have a plan in mind for what you want to do within the Boeing Company. Talk to HR and management. They'll help guide you."
What don't you like about working at Boeing?
"Not a thing."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"When I first started with the Boeing Company, I went through a training cycle every six months on all aspects of Program, Planning and Control, (scheduling, change management, audits, hardware tracking, presentations, etc.). Boeing needs to keep that going."

What do you like about working at Garmin?
"The challenge of trying to get the work load done and being the top review in my area over my fellow employees every year."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Pay attention to the manager interviewing you, just imagine if this is someone that will help you learn or just leave you out to sink or swim. Most of them are afraid you might know more than them and take their job."
What don't you like about working at Garmin?
"Management is very clickish, if you dont hang or fit into the little clicks your done and they will gang up on you and run you out. HR is there only to protect Garmin not you."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Remember that People make up the company, they all think that they know everything and dont need anyone there but themselves to make the company go."
What do you like about working at Integrated Packaging?
"The people were basically good to work with."

"Be sure that the terms of your employment are clearly understood."
What don't you like about working at Integrated Packaging?
"The understanding of the benefits of quality analysis was not easily accepted. The way we always did it was good enough for them but could not see the big picture that would improve the overall quality and move the customers from somewhat satisfied to delighted."

"Consider the applicant as a person and not a commodity"
