"The politics that were dictated by money which eventually led to the elimination of effective programs."

"Understand and respect the end results of programs before eliminating them due to budget cuts."

What do you like about working at Judicial Correction Services?
"If you have competent co workers, and that's dependent on the region, then you really have competent co workers. Management is another story. They will sacrifice the staff, use any reason they can dream up to fire them in the most arbitrary manner. If you have boobs, then upper management is virtually unobtainable."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Stay away or stay no longer than 6 months. The longer you stay, the more complacent you become, the more secrets you learn, and you become that much more of a threat. When that happens, you will get fired."
What don't you like about working at Judicial Correction Services?
"Rules change almost daily, the managers lie, take credit for the work that the staff does, pay is horrible. In addition to the boring day to day operations of the job, management will go out of the way to threaten, harass and lie to keep staff in line."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Stop browbeating the staff. Without them there are no collections, ergo no fat bonuses."

"It is quite stressful and most people do not enjoy their job."

"Study the position and be confident when interviewing. Do volunteer work."

"Administration does not protect employees when issues arise. Additionally, you rarely hear you are doing a good job."

"I would create a work environment where people love coming to work."

"Being in charge of others. Going in the field. Court."

"Know behavioral interviewing. Be able to give specific examples. Dress professional."

"The hours with no compensation. The amount of paperwork. Unable to be flexible with nights."

"Abide by the union contract. Offer more flexible hours. Add business casual attire."

"The budget cutters keep taking our money away. We need more staff & better resources."

"Stop the budget cuts. Protect the employees, give them what they need to do their jobs."

"The excitement and fast paced working environment. Drafting important documents that help change youth's lives."

"Hang in there! It is a very rewarding job! Very challenging but very rewarding! Something worth sticking it out."

"Working entirely too many hours and having to deal with very angry people. It is very difficult to get the juveniles to complete sanctions."

"More support would be helpful and reducing the amount of responsibilities/paperwork that each individual has to maintain."
