What don't you like about working at Adapticom?
"Unlimited loss potential.The quality of clients and projects have degraded in the last few years. The larger companies appear to choose offshore sourcing. The smaller companies are enthusiastic but typically not sufficiently funded to insure project success."
What do you like about working at Avici Systems?
"Interesting work, very advance technology both software and hardware. I liked my rolle developing drivers helping hardware engineers and providing APIs to the applicaton people."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"The company does not exist anymore. However, when interviewing with high tech companies you have to show your understanding of software programming and how it applies to their hardware."

"Some of social aspects were not very satisfying since the original group of people was treated differently from the new comers (like myself)."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Have smaller teams. The driver group I belonged to was too large for one manager."

"Never lose sight of your flagship product and build on it rather then pushing customers to migrate to quick to a newer product without a clear and smooth transition plan. Always to save customer money, not lose money. Look for talent that is well rounded, not just technical but someone who is technical, managerial skills, great communication - they all come into play."

"managed by non-engineersbusiness model is stuck in 80's/90's principlesforce fitting of sub-standard products into contractsempire-builders allowed to sabotage and subvert contractsinability to see the importance of many small contracts compared to a single large contract (which typically gets lost to the competition)too many do-nothing managers"

"go back to a flat structure (make individuals responsible for their own success and contracts instead of being beholden to elitist empire-buildersmanage engineers with engineers; not responsibility-dodging empire-building functionalsmake the IT department a SERVICE organization instead of road block to getting jobs done; they need to provide solutions instead of providing hurdles which further their empire-building without accepting responsibility"

"There was a circle of origin by original AlliedSignal workers. It was hard to penetrate the circle."
