"I had worked for Portrait Innovations since April of 2014. I absolutely loved this company and was consistently among the top performers, unfortunately they did close the doors company wide at the end of 2019."

"HORRIBLE place to work for! They are greedy and only care about the money. They have ridiculous goals to reach for sales averages. If you are under, you can easily be let go for failing to maintain it. They also expect you to push sales and get high sales when people specifically walk in for the one pose special, which kills your average. You also are expected to be unethical and not tell customers that they can ship their products to the studio FOR FREE instead of paying $15 for shipping to be sent to their home. On top of all that, they overbook appointments. They book every 20 minutes and it's ridiculous. You're expected to be in the camera room in 20 minutes and then through the sales process in 30 minutes. So one hour total is the goal. It's ridiculous and when you get really behind, customers get angry and take it out on you. Forget about taking any days off unless it's an emergency. They are in constant blackout for Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, July 4th, Halloween and then you hit blackout from the last Monday of October until January. Studio managers can be a pain too. If you have car issues and don't have a backup vehicle, it's an unexcused absence if you miss. You're expected to be there. They expect you to pay for Uber or Lyft, especially if you have NO MONEY or find a relative within 1.5 hrs to take you to work. They don't care about your circumstances. Corporate is horrible. They say we're "one big family", but they only care about the money. They could care less about how we're treated. They filed for bankruptcy and need to go out of business. The positive reviews you have read are from the higher ups to make themselves look good. RUN THE OTHER WAY! DO NOT WORK FOR THESE PEOPLE! By the way, once you leave, you're never allowed to return UNLESS they let you go due to a studio closing. Oh and their packages are VERY overpriced. Do yourselves a favor and go to another studio. Trust me, you'll thank me later for this review."
