in Tampa, FL

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Overall poor company to work for. Locations are too far-flung and poorly thought-out. Marketing personnel are below par in most cases and management offers little to no support to technicians."

What do you like about working at SOMNOmedics?

"The pay was comparable to other labs in the area. The locations (while poorly thought out and a bit too far-flung) were semi-plentiful."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be cautious. The hiring staff is very slick but have little-to-nothing to do with the actual day-to-day operations of the lab. The owner/operator seems to proffer himself as being very hands on but after being hired he becomes practically invisible. Emails sent directly to him will be forwarded down and you will be reprimanded for trying to circumvent the chain of command."

What don't you like about working at SOMNOmedics?

"The pay raise system was practically nonexistent and technicians seemed to receive raises based almost entirely on brown-nosing. Support to technicians was also lacking. Staff meetings were held monthly to hash out problems and nothing seemed to ever actually come from these meetings."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Complete restaffing of office personnel and marketing staff. Much less nepotism in hiring practices and more support for staff. Locations need to be closer together or, at the very least, better interconnected to avoid feeling far-flung."

in Bradenton, FL

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"An overall good company to work for but overtime was practically nonexistent and locations/advancement was severely limited."

What do you like about working at SleepMed?

"The company offered plenty of support and always aided the technicians when necessary. Supplies were always plentiful and reordering was easy."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Overtime opportunities may or may not be promised but scheduling usually comes down to a single individual and if they aren't on top of callbacks and follow-ups your hours will be in jeopardy."

What don't you like about working at SleepMed?

"There was little to no advancement opportunity available and the locations were severely limited. Overtime was rare and difficult to come by."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Further overtime possibilities, further expansion of locations and a better lab to lab communication system. The in-place email system was slow-moving most times."
