"I conducted weekly safety site visits at numerous locations. I enjoyed working with the supervisors and their employees, making recommendations when necessary. The company had an enviable safety record."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I would strongly recommend that others do not interview with this company. There is no security."

What don't you like about working at Pleasants Construction?

"The company was family owned, and the family benefits (posh family homes, fancy trucks, etc.) were paraded about by some. Most employees were made to feel like peons. Trumped-up infractions were used as reasons for termination without notice."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Manage the company based on employee accomplishments, not which relative is entitled to work there."

"They have many great operators at this company. They where a pleasure to work with."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Go in knowing that it is a very diffucult place to work. They have a very large OL Boy network inhouse. It is very hard to fit in."

What don't you like about working at Pleasants Construction?

"I had little to no support from the management. They just put you on a job and helped in no way."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They need to learn to help the foreman of the jobs. If they would put more time into helping the site would run better and at a profit. They need to be interactive not reactive."
