"Ups and downs of head count. They try to avoid it, but sometimes cutbacks are required."

"Continue to stress the core values that started Perot Systems. Do not part from them for short term gain."

"I like the surprises. Working in the operations team, you really never knew what you were going to get. The employees were also very personable."

"The crazy hours and unreasonable expectations. I averaged 60+ hrs/wk with few 36 hour days."

"Work with your employees and set aggressive goals and not impossible ones, especially if you don't want to put the necessary resources to back them up."

"Whenever Perot said we're not outsourcing you they were, gave lip service to project management."

"At times there was a do more with less mentality that made projects and tasks a little overwhelming. Overall this was not the norm and it was a good company to work for."

"Management and team lead positions went to people with tenure, not the people best suited for the role. There didn't seem to be an shared corporate vision. There were no career paths available. You are pretty much on your own. If you want to skate and fly under the radar and collect a paycheck, it is good. If you want to advance, it is difficult."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Perot Systems needs more inspired leadership. Once Mr. Perot Sr. stepped down, the company was in the hands of care takers, not leaders. They just tried to maintain the status quo. The talk was they were just looking to sell it and this was years ago. It will be interesting to see what Dell can do with it."
"Perot bought QSS and then Dell bought Perot so it is just the bigger fish story."
