"Explain to employees that their position is at the whim of govt contract, which the agency can cancel anytime."

"The opportunity to work with the medical staff to develop efficiencies through the use of technology."

"The outsourcer environment can be overly political in that the hospital has a desire and the outsourcer sometimes has contradicting needs. The art of balancing these distinctly differnt agendas is sometimes complex."

"to many people at at senior management and less opportunities to be visible with your work"

"Be flexible and expand business in new technology areas and not be over-dependent on Health Care clients."

"Oppertunities for growth, movement within the company, benefits to include college tuition and certification reimbursement. My close co-workers were very supportive."

"It's a fast exciting journey, and if you have no commitments and are willing to up and travel anywere anytime, this is definately the job for you!"

What don't you like about working at Perot Systems?

"Location. I move tot the desert as it has always been my dream. Parsons would prefer me to live closer to the city and Man Campus."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My immediate management was excellent, however the senior management didn't have a good enough perspective on the business impacts on thier decisions. Although they were presented the risks and assumptions they always bowed down to what the big man wanted, weather it was good for him or not. I don't feel that is always best for the client. Of course the customer comes first, but I think Senior Managment could have been more concerned with what is best for the company than just saying yes, respectfully."

"Work hard, take advantage of education opportunities, and do not block your mind from anyone seeking to teach you new concepts about the position."

"They did not take into account college education as one of the formulas for advancement in many cases."

"not too tough, depending on the position, but not easy by any means; refresh your design skills, because they may have you design something during the (personal) interview"

"customers ;) (not really Perot's fault), management"

"They'll stab you in the back after giving them 13 1/2 years of dedicated service."

"I wouldn't. They will use you, abuse you and then throw you away."

"Was just great training the staff in India and then they took my job and I am not laid off."

"Good luck now that you are a Dell Computer employee"

"Perot bought QSS and then Dell bought Perot so it is just the bigger fish story."

"The work schedule is very flexible. Work from home is widely accepted."

What don't you like about working at Perot Systems?

"Management and team lead positions went to people with tenure, not the people best suited for the role. There didn't seem to be an shared corporate vision. There were no career paths available. You are pretty much on your own. If you want to skate and fly under the radar and collect a paycheck, it is good. If you want to advance, it is difficult."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Perot Systems needs more inspired leadership. Once Mr. Perot Sr. stepped down, the company was in the hands of care takers, not leaders. They just tried to maintain the status quo. The talk was they were just looking to sell it and this was years ago. It will be interesting to see what Dell can do with it."
