What do you like about working at People's Bank?

"Working with customers, training and education available to help your development"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It is important to know about the bank; that is important to them- do your homework. You must be serious about your customer service skills; it is vital that you always go above and beyond"

What don't you like about working at People's Bank?

"I report to a self-serving micro-manager who does not listen and who focuses on the negative vs the positive. We are short staffed, as is everyone at the bank. I am often not given enough staff so I can do my job. I am not heard- just told what to do and told what I do wrong. There is not a feeling like the company cares; no parties or get togethers, and many things have become so difficult to do, which is frustrating because you know there is a better way, but no one listens. You feel like you are walking on thin ice all the time, and feel like you are being lied to, and that they do not trust you. They do not care if someone has been a hard working, devoted, GOOD employee, instead, we often hear, If you dont like it, then leave or Maybe this isnt the place for you"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would not be a micro manager and I would trust my employees. I would not let morale become so low; and make employees feel like their hands are tied- and make sure they were not short staffed and give them the resources to do their jobs. And give them realistic expectations. And I certainly wouldnt lie or be deceitful. Most important: I would be a GOOD LISTENER!"
