"If you get placed with the wrong manager or on the wrong team you will never move up in the company."

"Customer service is the biggest aspect of the job. Be sure to understand that your job is to serve the customer well and to the best of your ability."

What don't you like about working at Express Scripts?

"The company offers little room for growth and no intellectual stimulation. There was little room for creative input."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Allow employees to use the skills they bring to the table. That would reduce the turn over rate and allow employees to feel as if their work matters."

"Loved job, communicated information directly to physicians."

What do you like about working at OptumHealth?

"Interacting with professionals, in a positive way to use funds prudently. Setting goals for patient and coordinating discharge planning for a good transition to home, witih follow up care and transportation set up if needed and policy allowed."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Telephonic Case Management requires a visual picture of the patient - status, activity level, meds, IV's etc. You have to have good assessment skills and good documentation review skills to decipher status, progress and MD notations. Sometimes discussing plan and desired outcome with case manager or physician on phone is necessary."

What don't you like about working at OptumHealth?

"The salary I started out was $54,000; which was good for entry level or mid..I felt for more experienced it could have been higher."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I was pleased with management. My manager wasa Michelle Miller. We had a very good working relationship."
