"Great people, and a lot of interesting work. As a mechanical engineer, I was hands-on with manufacturing processes and also put in positions to present to customers. The corporation as a whole is all about pleasing the shareholder which a lot of corporations are like, but there was very little concern for the workers. Expect to have some sort of issue with the corporate structure with either low wages, little vacation time, or in general a lack of care for employees. You are nothing more than a clock number to the corporate officers."

"The North Haven facility of Parker is unbelievably poorly managed. The cabal of untalented managers prey on hapless newbies lying to them constantly, engaging in self serving politics, taking credit for all the "good" and blaming the defenseless for all the "bad" decisions they make. It is the worst run place I've ever heard of. The only way to advance under most managers is to offer kickbacks, bribes, or blackmail them - not the kind of place for anyone with even a shred of integrity."

"Use the restrooms on the production floor, if you are not completely appalled and disgusted, then you will survive."

What don't you like about working at Parker Hannifin?

"If you just enter through the front doors for an interview, you will love the place. However, the manufacturing area is run-down. The bathrooms are atrocious. You do not receive any vacation time your first year there."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Spend some capital on fixing the place up, and cleaning. Also take a second look at your employees and invest in them as well, since many hold degrees and are not given advancement opportunities as they arise."
