Park University is an independent, private higher-education institution that operates as a non-profit and has more than 25,000 students enrolled. The university’s 800-acre main campus is in Parkville, Missouri and many of its satellite campuses are located on or near bases for the United States Air Force. Overall, the university has 40 campus centers located throughout 21 states and online.
Park University was established in 1875 by John A. McAfee as a small, religiously affiliated college. The original students received free tuition, lodging, and board in return for performing work on the college’s farmland, printing plant, or electrical shop. The university is now a master level institution and is considered to be one of the top providers of education courses for the United States military. Park University currently offers 63 degree programs and 11 certificate programs.
Park University has 415 faculty members and numerous other staff members in full time and part time positions across various departments.
