"The pay is good and it was nice to get a check right away. Also it helps that there is OTR advances. The advances are good because sometimes you need that little extra help. They also give clean log inspection bonuses. And some opportunities for extra money on the drops.They have no touch freight but if you decide to deliver to mom and pop shops there is also some ways to make extra money"

"The mileage pay is comparable to other trucking companies, but the gross pay seems a bit low due to the per diem which is 9 cpm. My base pay is 40 cpm, but you wouldn't have guessed it from my W2s. I've talked to my CPA and he gives me the difference in tax deductions between that and the full amount I'm allowed. Quite frankly, I would opt out of per diem if I could, but they don't give that option. I never have understood how that works when the employer does the per diem. But, I'm living comfortably and reaching my financial goals, so that's a plus."
