"Realize that you will get very little respect from your employer or others. Just way it is in this industry."
What don't you like about working at C.R. England?
"Truck drivers are not appreciated as a whole by the community as a whole. Think about this for a moment: everything you have: car, shoes, clothes, cosmetics, desk, computer, FOOD. Everything you have rode on a truck to get to you. But most people complain about 'those damn trucks' taking up the highway and getting in the way. Most of us, we're just trying to do our job. Without us, your local stores would be empty in a few days, you would start getting hungry soon without us."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Give us some respect. Give us APU's for our trucks so we can sleep at night."
What do you like about working at Swift Transportation?
"Was able to see the United States."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Pay more to the drivers!"
What don't you like about working at Swift Transportation?
"On duty 24 - 7. Income not based on performance and cap on how much to be made. Not getting home for 30 to 45 days."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Pay more to drivers that are out on the road. That make the sacrifice driving long haul. Drivers need to be compensated for driving safe and that meet or exceed dellivery time."
What do you like about working at TransAm Trucking?
"The OWner and management were not liars and very open and honest about all aspect of the company. Always an open door policy with the owner of Trans Am"
What don't you like about working at TransAm Trucking?
"Not enough Miles and not enough money."

What do you like about working at AD Transport Express?
"Reasonably well-maintained equipment. No-touch freight."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you're single and enjoy being treated like dirt, go for it. If you have a family or some self-respect, don't waste your time."
What don't you like about working at AD Transport Express?
"Driver/managers treat drivers as numbers instead of people. The company pushes drivers to run over hours-of-service limits regularly, They have little to no regard for family whatsoever-regardless of how much advance notice you give them for appointments, holidays or even medical issues of a family member, they care less about getting drivers home. They also don't stand behind their drivers involved in accidents, even when the AD driver is not at fault. AD apparently is far more concerned with the almighty dollar than they are the people who work hard to make the money for them."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Improve driver relations, update equipment more frequently, be considerate of driver's family & personal issues, and be supportive to drivers involved in accidents that they were not at fault in."

"AD is a typical trucking company, pretty basic in the industry. Better than some, worse than others."

"The freedom of being able to work independently without needing a supervisor looking over my shoulder constantly."

"Get everything in writing."

"Lack of quality family & home time. The long hours and lack of sleep, and being treated as a number instead of a person."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Attempt to be more supportive family life, and remember that drivers have the same basic needs as office employees, and treat them like people instead of machines."

"nothing it was a horrible mistake from day 1"

"everything that was told to me was a lie the company left me broke and stranded 2000 miles from home"

"hire new managment that has a clue on how to run a company, treat employees and be descent people"
