"I have worked for Orange/Equant for over 12 years. Very good company! Treats their people well."
"Orange will lay off USA based staff without touching unproductive French employees. I have witnessed first-hand how hostile and vindictive senior France based management can be during these times and their arrogance. They will talk about their employee culture, but that is only relevant if you are a French citizen. The company is in a downward spiral, moving all the important tech jobs to third world countries. Stay away!"
"Benefits are great. Paid time off is well above average. Full-time telecommuting is very common."
"I've worked for Orange for five years as part of the Global Services arm in the US. My team is fantastic and is spread around the globe, with me being the furthest West in the group.Compensation and benefits are very good, although salary increases are rare. There is no annual salary bump for inflation, but there are merit increases every few years.Advancement to the upper echelons of management do seem to be limited to those who speak French and are willing to relocate to France."
"I have been working within Orange Business Services since 2006 in general, the work environment is good, and you can gain a lot of experience."
"Good place to work."

"This is not a happy place."
What do you like about working at Orange?
"I enjoyed the international flavor of the business."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I have several friends who still work there and they are only staying so they can get a severance package when they are laid off. OBS has even reduced bonuses for US based employees only so if you get an offer make sure your contract is air tight or you will get screwed."
What don't you like about working at Orange?
"This company really had no clear direction and while we were encouraged to make decisions they were often reversed because they did not conform to France dictates. They only seemed to have one way to reduce cost and that was to lay good people off and hire someone else in a low cost country such as Egypt, Brazil, India. There was a real double standard between US based employees and European staff."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Do not always look at the US staff as second class citizens and treat them with respect."
