"The only thing I don't like about working with the company was working as a contractor and it was salary pay"

"great company, the hours are abit long and the schedule odd but defenitly worth sticking with and getting the job"

"I liked that we made multiple products for our company as well as products for other companies."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be ready for calculating changes to recipes by looking at data. Not just engineering making these changes."
What don't you like about working at International Rectifier?
"The company was just starting to update outdated technologies to better its performance. Machine upgrades, software upgrades, etc. It should have been doing this proactively over the last 10 years."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Listen to what the workers have to say, not just the reports you get from engineering."
What do you like about working at United States Army?
"The job security, the benefits, and the pay. Working in the technical field and keeping communications."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"As long as you don't mind being told how or where to live your life, by all means sign up at a recruiter near you. However, I do not recommend this job to people with families as you do travel a lot (and can't currently take your wife and kids to Iraq or Afghanistan). Your hours will be anywhere from 12 hr shifts every day at times, with 24 hr duties about once a month. When you get home back to your main duty station you could actually have a job that allows a 9 am-5 pm schedule. But that will also be when these extra duties and training will take over your time. With deployments I was deployed a year, home a year, etc. Though at times even when I was home it felt as though with training and duties I was only actual with my family 4 months out of the year."
What don't you like about working at United States Army?
"I could not stand how any person that outranked or got paid more than any other person was allowed to make someone's day a nightmare. A scenario I often use is: It would be like the manager at Taco Bell coming over to McDonald's and insulting and screaming at employees that do not belong to him because they looked fat. When a soldier of mine complained to me I pointed him in the right direction to get help and he was told that the Sergeant Major (or CEO equivalent) could not get in trouble or be reprimanded for doing this. Outrageous..."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Give those that worked under me the respect they deserve as people and not simply shunning their ideas or opinions based on their rank or pay grade."
What do you like about working at TransOcean Shipping?
"The co-workers I had were very helpful and showed me the ropes."

"If your looking to get a pay check and not grow and move up the ladder then it would be a great fit."

"Worked alot of overtime but I was told I was ony getting straight time because I wasent a supervisor."

"Give the employees that do all the hard work a higher pay rather than tell them you will an never do."

"short commute, friend at work, good amount of vacation time"

"If you have to do factory work there are a lot worse places to be."

"lack of equal expectations people like myself do more meet and exceed and are always expected to do so while others do less than minimum yet have equal status"

"Calmer attitude, down to earth approach to people, more involvement in the process"

"The pay is all that is good in plant 4 anymore."

"Get up. Walk out. And don't ever look back. The place sucks."

"A number of my coworkers (3) should've been used car salesmen. And I hated working 7 days a week non stop while rotating shifts."

"Find completely new management for the plants and reinstate fixed shifts for hourly employees."

"Great compensation and benefits. Work schedule to fit any situation. Very willing to work with you if needed."

"Know lean manufacturing and six-sigma like it was your first language. Company is built around the standards that these concepts profess."

"Not much opportunity for advancement. Many positions are spoken for before they are listed, which is a disadvantage to many people."

"There should be independent interviewers for all management level positions."

"The people are the only good thing about that place. Everyone from the owner down to the supervisors needs to go."

"Save your time and effort - do not apply or have anything to do with the company."

"The pay is horrible, the hours they expect you to work are a joke, there's no room to move up, there's no raises... There's barely incentive to show up."

"Quit, give everyone a pay raise and never look back."

"Company is trying to move forward. Overtime is a must."

"Don't accept this job. You start with basically minimum wage and you work harder than any other place I've ever been at. I am currently employee here (6/11/2012) but am not seeing a future with this company."
What don't you like about working at Pacific Bearing Co.?
"They make you work really hard, but there's no competitive pay. You get no bonuses at all. They only give out a raise to 20% of their workforce, so you could be working really hard and miss no days that year and not get a raise. The owner doesn't see how hard people work and make them work like dogs. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"To see the full potential of your employees and give raises as necessary instead of throwing your employees under the bus. I know you make more than your employees do, but that doesn't mean that you have to be all mighty and powerful."

"The people I work with are great and very knowledgeable."

"This is a great job for someone looking for something just out of college."

"Salary is low and no hope for a raise. No promotions available."

"Management has to follow the orders of the council as this is a government job."

"A Research and Development Contractor that was pushing equipment to it's breaking point and documenting the results. We had to be ready to fix equipment in a moments notice and be confident of our knowledge."

"Be patient. Make sure that all of your paperwork has been completed fully and keep copies."
What don't you like about working at Phacil?
"Every year, the government would have to renew the company's contract. Everyone was required to turn in CAC cards and be out of work for 2 weeks. Then another contractor would come in with a new agenda."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"My suggestion to the management would be to ensure missions and tests begin promptly which enables proper equipment shut down."
