3Opendoor is a company that became a unicorn quickly. Early on the company was fantastic. Culture was second to none. Over time the company grew and lost its way. It became a company that forget its identity. It became a place of intense scrutiny and consultant mind set. The only constant there is change. This is a result of the consultant mind set where experiments run rampant with many rebranded from past failures. The senior leadership does not listen to experienced operators instead insisting on running tests that repeatedly falter. Stay away unless you are an engineer, data scientist or consultant with an ivy league education.
4.3I transitioned into the Opendoor company from previous and ministerial real estate dealings. I then researched the company for a mid level portrayal of my future responsibilities into the role. Once a recruiter reached out, a great deal of information was received and exchanged; the rest in history once I accepted the role. Whereas I am looking for a definitive challenge, I would recommend the Opendoor company to anyone vested and interested in real estate.
4.3Opendoor is an excellent company with some opportunity for advancement. The company does a great job at creating a strong culture and has strong benefits and competitive pay. Rapid growth along with a recent change in management and organizational structure created a top-down structure which left some individuals behind, or seeking new prospects. The most recent attempts at streamlining the business have caused countless rifts, and a more difficult work environment.
