"I enjoy the people and the culture. I like the managerial style of my present employer. She is results oriented, but does not micro manage."

"My only advice for the interviewee would be to be honest and forthcoming with your experience and skill sets. Even if the potential hire is not qualified for a particular position, the company is very good at identifying talented individuals and placing them in the correct positions."

What don't you like about working at OLDCASTLE BUILDING ENVELOPE?

"Because the company is publicly traded, the IT department has to adhere to strict SOX compliance. I understand this is a neccessity in today's political and economic culture, but I feel the regulations greatly diminish the level of customer support the IT department is able to provide. However, it is always best to strive for 100% customer satisfaction regardless of the barriers that may be in place."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would suggest that managers utilize software solutions to track the efficiency of their subordinates and monitor progression toward company goals. However, managers should give their employees enough room to investigate innovative solutions to daily concerns and long-term goals."
