"Great company with lots of growth potential."

"There is always room for improvements."

"My early years there were great! Product development and managers who were interested in seeing design, and money saving innovation which was reliable."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Know how to copy and past well on a computer. If generation countless mounds of paper interests you, submit your application over at NOV!"

What don't you like about working at National Oilwell Varco?

"Toward the end of my time with NOV, it became strictly a, PAPER PUSH job. I do mean better than 95% paper pushing to 5% actual engineering design, troubleshooting and, product development."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep going the way they are going now. They only create documentation copies of the system produced in front of it. No new innovation or component updates to keep up with parts availability."

"Work hard and be sure to let management know how important training is."

What don't you like about working at National Oilwell Varco?

"I no longer work there; I was terminated by my Supervisor because of variances on work orders which I never had training; I had to learn by asking other management personnel. Also I was wrote up for the same thing twice. I worked there almost 2 yrs and was wrote up for variances that occurred in the first 4 months I was at NOV. Sorry to vent but being let go without HR and no senior management being present was not right! P.S. I also accrued Vacation Time but was not paid for it!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Implement a training program. And set up procedures when terminating employees."
