"I worked for Nordstrom for approximately 8 months which is including the COVID time period up until the time I left. I started out as a seasonal gift wrapper and was hired on full time after Christmas. I thought my store handled COVID procedures quite well but I believe opened up a bit too soon. My managers were all extremely nice and helpful, my coworkers made it a fun environment to be in. Several aspects of the store and company I would say were organized well. I did feel cared about and nothing was forced."
"I’ve worked for Nordstrom since 2016. I began my career with the company as an intern and worked my up to the role I’m in right now as a department manager for women’s designer apparel. The company has become very challenging to grow with and continuing seeking further career opportunities with as they are continuously cutting back and eliminating jobs and closing stores year after year."
"I’ve worked for Nordstrom for 5 years and I found out why the company is so well knows for its superb customer service. It truly does cater to every single need of the customer and always going above and beyond for the customer. Nordstrom employs thousands of employees through the entire US."
"I have worked for Nordstrom for over 10 years. Their inclusive culture and growth possibilities have kept me excited to work for them. As a retailer that strongly relies on brick and mortar business they are making forward thinking steps to become more digitally enabled. I am empowered to take care of our customers and use good judgment while given access to resources to resolve customer and/or employee inquiries. Due to Covid-19 the retail climate has become uncertain and has halted growth potential."
"I have worked for Nordstrom since 2010. Nordstrom delivers a culture of inclusivity and growth. Many employees who have come and gone attribute their strong work ethic and customer obsession with their time at Nordstrom. They offer competitive benefits and the ability to write your own paycheck. With brick and mortar retailers they are pioneering the combination of digital selling and services. Due to the strain of COVID-19 customer service in a physically interpersonal setting may prove time be challenging but I know Nordstrom will make the most appropriate moves to ensure the safety of their customers and employees."
"Much better workplace than I ever worked with in past."
"Overall my time at Nordstrom has been positive."
"I worked for Nordstrom Inc. It was a really good company to work in. I love helping customers and I was very enthusiastic about the company's belief in putting customers first. I enjoyed the relationship with my coworkers and managers; we all felt like a big family."
"I have worked for Nordstrom for over 10 years. I have worked in several areas of the company and at several locations. In the stores you have a great environment and you learn lots of great skills in the service and sales industry. You can also work in several support roles like IT, Logistical, and sales support roles. The focus is always on the customer and really teaches you to embrace every customer. The technology opportunities are slim at Nordstrom unless you are in Seattle where the corporate roles are."
"Nordstrom is a good company to work for, but if you are in the full line store, creating a career can be challenging."
