"I've worked at Nokia/Here for 11 years and it's a very dynamic company. I've programmed everything from Cellphones to very large cluster software (hadoop/Big data). If you are good enough, you can forge your own path at the company and they will give you everything you need to succeed."

"I liked the working environment and social side of my co-workers. Nokia is/was a well-known and highly praised company which gave me pride."

"Read about Agile. Try to offer something more than standard C skills."

What don't you like about working at Nokia?

"Nokia has been, as identified in the press, sliding down the market. There is a very much old world philosophy still in place. Politics take precedence of actions. Recent recruits (at my site) are lacking ANY skills - even at Senior level."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Speak to the ground floor programmers and tester. Your job isn't to please your boss - it's to please those you manage."

What do you like about working at Nokia?

"It is a good Finnish company. Working there is respected and ever proud."

"You need to be professional and express good communication skills."

What don't you like about working at Nokia?

"It helped me improve a lot, with fulfilling challenges to explore NOKIA's own mobile OS. But now the company is in a bad situation and has to change strategy."

"The big company always falls into the trap of long process and inefficiency."

"Great atmosphere and team member, too bad that leadership team is really poor."

"It's probably not the best time to work there because of reorganization."

"Politics, bad decisions from management, layoffs, no free coffee."

"More listening to their employees, and do not panic."
