What do you like about working at Nintendo?
"Since the majority of employees have worked at Nintendo for many years, there is a real sense of family. The company sponsors several events throughout the year to recognize the contribution of the employees to Nintendo's success, and the benefits are the best I've ever had. The work itself is fun and exciting, with just enough pressure to keep things interesting."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Nintendo is a good company to work for. Since it must have a quick response time to changing technology and to the public 's interests, employees need to be flexible and willing to work efficiently. Teamwork is very important."
What don't you like about working at Nintendo?
"Recently, an extremely complex, company-wide project placed a small number of employees under an extreme amount of stress. Their frustrations spilled over to the rest of their department, and morale was pretty low."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"If a project is going badly, say so. Don't try to put a positive spin on the situation. Spend more time planning and assessing the cost for large projects. Quite a few employees who had vacations cancelled had to sit around for several weeks with little to do while they waited for another team to hand off their stage of the project."
