"Like most companies or organizations, it is very hit or miss depending on the team. Unfortunately, in my experience within the Product Management and Business Intelligence portfolio, there are more misses than hits. You may think that those who make the effort to write a review are more likely to be former disgruntled employees, and rightfully so. One should wonder, however, why so many employees have left in such a state of bitterness. Leadership at all levels (team lead, manager, and director) follow a very authoritarian style where those in power act only to impress their superiors instead of inspiring loyalty and confidence in those they lead. They will lie to save face and I have witnessed colleagues being pulverized because they were thrown under the bus. You might hope that HR or "People and Culture" are there to protect the lowly minions, but that hope would be in vain. A better name for them would be "Power and Control." If leadership are the ones to throw you under the bus, HR are the ones driving it. Many in power rule with an iron fist yet will feign ignorance or surprise when there is a high turnover or low employee engagement. For instance, in a recent employee engagement survey, it was revealed that almost one third of employees already have one foot out the door. Specifically, one third of employees (1) believed there were no opportunities for career growth; (2) indicated that they did not expect to be with the organization in the next two years; and (3) were already actively looking for opportunities outside of the organization. In some departments, these values were closer to 50%. And did I mention that the overall approval rate of the executive team was 17%? If this sounds like an inspirational organization, then welcome aboard. Or if all you care about is a paycheck, then this organization is probably sufficient. If, however, you want to work in an organization that truly values their employees, stay far away and save yourself."
