2.7I have been working with Nexius for 6 months now and it has not been a very pleasant experience for me. My manager has not really helped me grow as much as I have wished to. Moreover, I have never had a lot of software work assigned to me that would interest me in the company. I then started working with a different manager who seems good to work with. Since then I have been working well and learning quite a bit from him. However, I would not recommend working here in Software team.
3.3I have worked for Nexius since 2016, fresh out of graduate school. Nexius is not a bad place to start your career, one thing that I like about Nexius is the chances that they give to young professionals starting their career (Ace Program). However, that is also one of the downfalls, since you start as an ACE, they view you that way even when you are promoted. They will promote the ACE employees into management positions and pay them as entry-level jobs until the ACE employees quit or threaten to leave. They do not value the ACE employees as highly as someone coming in externally. Nexius is always progressing and pushing the boundaries which is great for their competitive advantage in the industry, but at the same time, they do not test these new processes and initiatives before implementing.
Overall, Nexius is not a bad place to start your career. I loved my co-workers and my time at Nexius, but if you are not in the inner circle of upper-management you can definitely feel the cold shoulder and stagnation in your career.
2.5I started working for Nexius in 2010. We had so much work across the US, it was awesome. Early on with the company I managed four crews working in 7 different states in the mid-west for over a year doing T-1 testing.
Before Nexius closed the Ohio office without warning, I had been building the 4G network with Sprint.
