New Mather Metals Employee

"New Mather Metals is a wholly owned consolidated subsidiary of NHK headquartered in Japan. The company produces stabilizer/sway bars for many domestically based automotive companies in the USA. Overall, my experience with this company would be average. Compensation is within range of other operations in the area. The biggest drawback is the lack of screening and creative approaches towards hiring new staff members (both exempt and non-exempt) and ineffective approaches towards gauging their competency; especially in areas that require technical proficiency. An insurmountable cultural and communication barrier exists at almost every level of decision-making. It suffers some of the same drawbacks as any Japanese based (or internationally based) organization might and relies too heavily on non-screened temporary labor for production to be an effectively controlled operation. However, these drawbacks are present in other manufacturing facilities as well."
