"They give their employees a lot of trust and autonomy. There was no issue with the job. I had to move for family and because of other issues. Or I would have stayed longer. They allowed me to work remotely for a year with the stipulation they would replace me because they needed someone in office.I'm not going to speak about the CEO because we interacted mostly with our directors. And I have no idea what the new guy is like so I can't recommend him. But I'll say yes cause there weere no negs."

"Extremely uninspiring."

What do you like about working at NBC?

"The location was really great and the flex time was also quite generous."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Having NBC on your resume may help you in your early career, but if you are experience professional look for a job someplace else."

What don't you like about working at NBC?

"The lack of innovation and creativity at NBC makes the company very uninspiring. NBC is the IBM of entertainment. Their brand name is probably the only thing that keeps them afloat.NBC is the classic good old boys club. Your skills and hard work will not get you anywhere. Most managers command exuberant compensations packages, work as little as possible and will do anything to keep dying factions of the business going to protect their jobs. They usually hire foreign workers or yes men that would not challenge then on anything and often laugh at their insensitive jokes. In the time I was there, three very competent PMs were hired and quit within 4 month. Then they wheeled in a guy whose PM skills were akin to per-industrial revolution PM style and soon became their go to man. This was the last straw for me. If you are an awesome ass kisser and have huge school loans or mortgage or any kind of debt, NBC is a perfect place for you. If not, please run AWAY from this company."

Summer Associate

"Excellent learning experience, for developing young legal mind."

What do you like about working at NBC?

"Working for such a large corporate entity, previously owned by General Electric, I was able to apply several different of areas of law. When you are trying to learn basic practical application during law school, doing multiple jobs outside of the general research, discovery, and memoranda's is extreamly helpful. I also liked the availability of mentoring that NBC Universal offered."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I would tell them to make sure they are prepaired to be involved in several different areas of the Law. If a canadite only wants to concentrate on one limited area, this is not the right job."

"The only negative is that the company is great. That being, nobody leaves the company. A lack of opening leaves little job opportunities for Summer Associates."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"There really are not that many negative things I can say about NBC Universal. I could point to the lack of a quiet environment, but that would be about it."
