What suggestions do you have for management?
"Take a closer look at the style of management."
"I worked for NFCU for almost 10 months & regretted it every day. Unrealistic daily production goals, toxic work environment, one goal for all authority levels. As an underwriter with 3 or 4 authorities vs underwriter with one authority only has the same goal. The daily goal is 8 files in 8 hours a day, regardless of if it's 1st or 2nd, or 3rd review. Underwriters are working off the clock during holidays, weekends & vacation, to meet goals. Extremely stressful and unhealthy goals and hard to achieve without compromising quality. Suggested to set goal based on authority & review level but no response or assistance or strategy provided to achieve goal. I will not recommend my family & friends to work as an underwriter for NFCU."
"Great company to work for."
"Decent place, little slow paced. Salaries are on the lower side."
"Wasted 4 1/2 years to still be on the phones getting cussed out every day of my work life. There is no work life balance, I started getting panic attacks from the high call volume everyday, the rude members yelling at me and it was taking a toll on my mental health. I applied for other positions within the company and couldn’t even get an interview but was told my resume was perfect. I had to resign and look for a less stressful job that I can genuinely move up in and use my skills."
"Full Stack Software Systems Engineer, Administrator, and Full Stack Developer Innovative software engineer with 20+ years’ progressive technical experience and proven commitment to company and project visions. Collaborate remotely with multi-discipline team to design, develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, interfaces, and designs for software systems. Professional software trainer, that loves to share knowledge, breaking down complex tasks into manageable, easily understood information. Continual learner of new technologies."
"I had a great experience working at NFCU. I learned and grew a lot while working their as an analyst."
"I have for Navy Federal Credit Union for 4 years now , and although I have learned a lot from this company I also feel that I am not progressing to my max potential. I have been doing the same position with no opportunity for growth."
"I worked for Navy Federal for approx 6 years. The company is an amazing company to work for as the members are the mission. They also have great employee benefits. There are many pros when looking into this company for employment, but there are a few cons such as; employee flexibility, resources, and fast company growth has caused some of the employee satisfaction to decline."
"Navy Federal is a great company to work for. There are a few cons but over all, the company is great. If you can get a job in their headquarters, the opportunities are endless. The branch life, the pay is good but the hours are not so great!"
"I’ve worked for Navy Federal for 91/2 years. When I was hired I started as a closer, then to the processor and the to loan officer and processor roll. The company is a good company to work for just looking to better myself and advancement."
"Great work life balance, and strong military culture. Solid job security, but not the most innovative company."
