"I have worked for MSHA for more than 20 years. I have grown tremendously throughout my tenure. MSHA is a Magnet hospital and gives great care to the customers it serves. Given the new financial strain on hospitals, being able to spend resources on improving the electronic record for the clinicians that use the program have been severely limited. Hopefully in the next few years this will change."

What do you like about working at Mountain States Health Alliance?

"In my postion I am able to control and set my own schedule. I also enjoy the fact that I never seem to be doing the same thing and the constant change keeps me alert and prevents boredom. I like the people I work with."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"know what you are applying for, ask questions, be open and honest. If you have a concern voice it, It is to often that people simply accept a postion without thinking everything thru and then are unhappy and leave when if they had been more upfront to begin with things could have been worked out. AND BE ON TIME!!!! showing up late for an interview is a bad bad sign."

"It can be difficult to find and hire competent caring people and we are often with some staffing shortages."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would strive to ensure a more competitive pay for the employees. MSHA is a great company to work for however they also have most of the healthcare jobs in this area, they do not pay as well as some of the company's who are beginning to make an appearance which is making it difficult to find and keep expeirenced employees."
