What do you like about working at American Mortgage Partners?
"The company/owner is honest and fair. I never had any issues with commissions. I fully trust the integrity of the company."
What don't you like about working at American Mortgage Partners?
"Sometime product offering were limited. The processing staff at times needed improvement."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"No. Management has always been active in identifying their areas of weakness and always made attempts to improve upon them."

"The company closed in 2009 and that's why I left."
What do you like about working at Barclays Bank?
"I was able to work on the wholesale side of the mortgage business and learn how it functions."
What don't you like about working at Barclays Bank?
"I had no major dislikes."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I liked the management and corporate leadership and direction we had. The investor, Barclays Capital, decided to pull out of the residential lending business and so we had no choice but to close. We had a good operation as far as the management was concerned."

"I like the team structure. There is a lot of coaching and help available."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be warned that more than half of all new employees are asked to leave or resign within 30-60 days of starting. If you're good at it, you will do great; otherwise, average won't cut it."
What don't you like about working at Quicken Loans?
"It is very cut-throat. If you start to fall behind, you are out. There are some unethical business practices as well."

"Focus more on clients rather than team and company goals."

"The Corporate office is full of great and knowledgeable people who will work hard for you to get the job done."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Find another mortgage company if you are in the State of Washington."
What don't you like about working at Envoy Mortgage?
"My only experience thus far was working in the NW office in Vancouver. The branch manager lied continuously to me and my family, never followed through on his growth, etc. (EX: Had my family move to open another branch and once we made the move, he re-nigged on opening an office over here for us and then laid us off after our newborn son was in the hospital fighting for his life for two months. Nice....There are better mortgage places that dont hide details, provide great support, and pay far greater in commission splits. I suggest avoiding the Vancouver Branch completely."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would suggest that the corporate office in Houston to cut the office in Vancouver or find another manager."
What do you like about working at Advent Mortgage?
"Conducting sales meetings, training new bankers, the freedom to express my skills as a relationship builder."
What don't you like about working at Advent Mortgage?
"They didn't always pay their employees. The last few months prior to closing became difficult. Prior to that, I really enjoyed my position."

"I had flexibility to write my own hours and to make as much as I could work and close."

"They need to remember that it is a commission and people based job, if you treat everyone fairly you can do very well."
What don't you like about working at Ascent Home Loans?
"They have large fees associated with each loan, so you had to charge high amounts to cover the cost and still make a small service fee."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"They could be more flexible with the fees, not every home has equity and not every buyer has a relative to loan them money."
