"Wachovia was a wonderful company with great people. The intergration with Wells Fargo was a bad time to be an employee."
What do you like about working at Wachovia?
"The company was huge but very professional. Wachovia really cares about the employees and the customers. I worked in a downtown branch with wonderful people."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be professional, well dressed, if you are a man wear a coat and tie, women were hoses and closed toe pumps, no bare sleeves."
What don't you like about working at Wachovia?
"It became very difficult to get loans done during the intergration with Wells Fargo so I was caught up in a political situation in the mortgage division. I would work for them again now that things have changed."
What do you like about working at Bank of the West?
"The compensation above varied from a low of 32K to a high of 53K. The corporate culture, the employees and our corporate vision included actually caring for our customers. We received the JD Power and Associates Customer Service award for three years in a row."

"I like interacting with new clients every day and helping them with their financial needs, capital funds, etc."

"Just be honest and try to learn, because it is good experience to find ourselves and find what we really want to do with our future."

"It is too big as a corporation, and upper management doesn't get to view the real problems."

"I would suggest communication, and knowledge of what is going on every day with staff and clients - important for planning."

"The mortgage industry has changed a lot. I would feel this way about any bank at this time of the industry. It is definitley time for a career change"
