"Loved working for Microchip but sensing a bit of cultural shift for the worse."
"The company is basically a socialist company. There's no opportunity to set yourself apart because they use a "spread the butter" approach to compensation, which is also very, very minimal (everyone gets somewhere between 1% and 2.5% raises), and it isn't even guaranteed every year. They try to wash out the compensation through various "Evergreen" programs which basically results in allowing an extra trip to the grocery store every few months. Job growth is also seemingly impossible and they don't value the high contributors, allowing them to leave to competitors without any fight."
"Miserable place for a West Coast Company, but great for an East Coaster."
"Colorado Springs employees have had to endure forced time off, without pay layoffs and no bonuses when the other 2 manufacturing facilities in the US haven't had to deal with any of that. They also keep receiving bonuses while we keep getting laid off. Costs are the #1 issue. Low wages to start i.e. below Colorado minimum hourly wage. No raises since I started 3 years ago. Twelve hours shifts, 90% at the time you are on your fee, fast paced and stressful at times."
"Low salary, cheap company, unfair, cunning, and manipulative management style."
"The technology stack is not as advanced as they suggested in the interview and in discussions regarding the position."
"Microchip bought TELCOM and then laid everyone off after 4 years, not giving anyone a chance to move to Chandler"
