"Walk away. If you want to work in Higher Education, but you have morals and/or integrity... walk away. There are plenty of other schools."

"Everything else. It's beyond political. It's Roman politics. Present a good idea and someone will steal it, maybe have you fired if you don't play ball."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Suck an egg. Seriously, these people were so intent upon making sure the Emperor (President, who is a complete dolt) had no idea he was nude that they'd strip nude themselves. They need to stop hiring consultants for $4 million to come in and tell leadership how to save $2 million and oh, what a good job they're doing while what they're really doing is hurling government dollars down the toilet."
