"When they say that it is up to you to make your own success, they are understating it! Don't expect for things to be explained to you, or for someone to tell you what you should be doing at any given time. You have to actively seek answers all the time and keep asking all those around you. Ultimately, the company doesn't really care if you succeed or fail - if you bring in one client, you've pretty much paid back the cost of your training, so the only person invested in your success is you."

"I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. Ever. And nobody seems to care."

"There needs to be a much greater focus on preparing new hires for the career and less of a 'They'll figure it out' mentality."

"Urgency seemed to be the theme that was expected. It wasn't until I changed companies that I realized it didn't always have to be that way."

"To include an annual employee retreat that will not include cell phones and/or any electrical devices. This would allow personnel to utilize their brain capacity to brainstorm innovative ways to increase their personal business and Merrill Lynch as a whole."

"I hate each day. Financial advisors are nasty. Leadership is poor."

"There was a reason why this company was on the chopping block in September 2008. BofA should have left this company FAIL!"

"The technology is a patch quilt of one band-aid on top of another. We are constantly told if there was more money in the budget this would get fixed."

"I would reduce the current staff. There are too many people with their hands in things that they can't really help in the end."

"Too much turnover. Many people got burned out very quickly."

"The management was very good, there are no real suggestions I would give."

"If there's anything, it is stability. But then again, they laid me off last December, only to hire me back again three days later. Then let me go in January, but then asked me to stay again two days later. Yeesh."

"They are taking advantage of the current economic climate to coerce their contract workers into working a lot of extra, unpaid hours."
