What do you like about working at Memry?
"Memry was a phenomenal place to work for the better part of my nine years. The company was in a consistent growth pattern, albeit with the typical ups and downs that came with a tumultuous economy. Ultimately, this was the tale of two companies...Memry prior to October 2008 and Memry as SAES Memry after being acquired by SAES Getters in October of 2008."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Run. You'll be lucky to have a job within a year."
What don't you like about working at Memry?
"Memry was a great working environment, a great place to be, a company that had a lot going for it. After being purchased by a foreign company last October, a company with no experience whatsoever in the medical device market, everything changed..for the worse."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Sell the company to people who actually have experience in running a medical device manufacturing organization. The existing parent company SAES Getters,...makes a boutique-niche component for plasma screens and LCD's. Not exactly a recipe for synergy."
