"The organization as a whole is really beginning to take shape in the healthcare market of the region. However, the IT department's leadership makes it difficult to effect the bottom line in this non profit mentality. The historical personnel aren't necessarily the best for the job, but are promoted into position in which they are not qualified. Systems and processes that have been in place for decades are slow or unable to change. Resiliency and security take a back seat to clinical goals. Teams and departments are siloed and collaboration is almost non existent."

"Managers who constantly insist that we do better, yet have no idea what we do, nor are they involved in our work in any way. Impossible to move up, you basically are waiting for someone to die so you can have their position. Horrible work hours, sometimes 14 hour days. Unrealistic expectations. Overly heavy work load. The few good workers have everything put on their shoulders while the rest slack off and no one says a word about it."
