Working at MemberSuite in Atlanta, GA: 1 Employee Reviews

MemberSuite Employee

"Membersuite is a promising opportunity for any professional looking for a challenge. This company is a startup environment in it's infancy and has spent majority of 2014 developing a business structure. I arrived working with a group of 20 people. Within 7 months there were nearly 40 people on staff broken into HR, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Product Development departments. The environment is very loose and flexible. The staff was great with few politics or negatives towards each other. I enjoyed working with this team. My warning to any potential employee of Membersuite would be to prepare for working with inexperienced leadership. The CEO has only been in his role for 5 years total with no prior experience in that role. If you're use to working with a CEO that's experienced then you may be in for a shock. Moral tends to trend up and down frequently do to high turnover and concerns in funding. For example, within 3 months of joining, my first paycheck was held due to funding issues. In that same 3 month span, 5 employees were removed. In my last 3 months another 4 employees were removed do to changes in company priorities. That's 9 employees removed in 7 months. These things happen, but it's concerning for a startup to have so much turnover without definite structure or system for reviews. Overall, the leadership will sell the opportunity to be a leader or a difference maker, but consider this at high risk. There's a lot of visibility in the work that will be done and this is great for career growth, but be aware of the foundations that are available to ensuring you have what you need to move forward. Otherwise, history has proven this company will turn on it's employees quickly."
