"It is a good company to work for- just remember in some cases you are on your own."

"The commute, the pay structure, and how the salesforce was treated."

"I have asked for more communication, better pay and more marketing materials."

"Leadership development training, member services training, collaborative culture, history, people."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Get your foot in the door with a part time job and you will have a better chance of working your way up into a professional role. But stick with it - it could take years for a promotion to open up, and you might have to relocate to another branch (took me 4 years and I moved 250 miles away from home). Have a somewhat outgoing personality, and make connections with customers/members."
What don't you like about working at YMCA?
"The overall organization is great, but each individual branch is different. My branch in particular isn't the greatest place to work at, especially being led by someone like our current exec. I believe a branch's culture starts from the top and trickles down, and ever since he came to our branch the culture has gone through a downward spiral."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"More investment in employees (training, guidance), respect, no favoritism or double-standards."

"DO NOT WORK FOR THIS FRANCHISE. The manager's are completely out of control"
What do you like about working at DirectBuy?
"I like the overall concept, I am a member myself. I truly enjoy helping families live a better lifestyle."
What don't you like about working at DirectBuy?
"Well, The income is flat out horrible. Mainly due to management taking every scrap they can from the sales rep's. It is also a total hostile environment to work in. Employee's tend to worry If they will be fired or not over pretty much nothing."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"TO THE OWNER: I SUGGEST YOU SEEK NEW MANAGEMENT ASAP...."

"I learned a lot, I was given more responsibilities and higher goals. I had close relationships with the local dentists and I loved living in Las Vegas."

"There was only two (2) of us in the office, myself and the Executive Director so there was no room for growth."
