"I liked being able to work with little supervision with a supervisor who would point out things that needed to be done and I would take care of them."

"It is a job with the Government. Everything moves at a snail's pace."
What don't you like about working at NAVAIR?
"The position was a new one and management never really found a home for me. I was shuffled around until ultimately I sat at a desk and waited for a phone to ring."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Keep up with what their employees are doing and try to give them projects that take advantage of their strengths and keep them busy."

"Opportunity to learn about advanced technologies and mechanical packaging design. The opportunity to work on defense projects and advance my career. The people and my bosses were great to work for."

"The way I found to be successful at Harris was to be very proactive about finding work from other experienced engineers and finding work that interests you."
What don't you like about working at Harris Corp.?
"I wanted to work on defense projects immediately and be in a position to be given a security clearance but I had to wait for 6 months before I was put in for one."

"They have a difficult time with budgets, and paying debts. Therefore it becomes difficult to interact with vendors who are familiar with the company."

"If they say they want to improve, don't believe them. The rhetoric is classic, but the truth is far different."
What don't you like about working at Nemeth Engineering?
"The owner refuses to trust anyone who is younger than 75 or uses a computer to do his work. They had Auto-cad, but he didn't want it used. I deigned a machine but the owner refused the design until he had the retired drafter come in. When the retired drafter said I had it right, the owner got hacked off. I was let go as incompetent after fixing many of his mistakes. He also bought used parts on eBay , repainted them, and sold them as new parts."

"sell the company to someone who wants to run a company"
