"Mechanical engineering opens up opportunities to work on cutting-edge and important products and technologies in a wide variety of fields. This makes the career very versatile and interesting. You get the opportunity to be creative and solve complex problems with some very smart people. You will always be learning. One downside is that sometimes you will have many simultaneous projects and tight deadlines that are constantly being re-prioritized. Ultimately, however, it is very rewarding."

"Keep good workers, even they are contrator. can makes people feel the way of equal employment."

What do you like about working at National Iranian Oil?

"getting experience on Basic and Detailed Design,Construction and performance tests of the plant and rotary equipments (e.g. gas turbo generators/ compressors...)."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I suggest to all particaipants that improve their knowledge beside getting experinece. The combination of these two can help them to enter the company most probably!"

What don't you like about working at National Iranian Oil?

"It could be a great place for learning and working if its management was stronger."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management itself is too complicated and lots of different factors makes it succeful. Anyway, there are two main basics which are human relationship and knowledge which are not preventable!"

"I regret not being hired as a permanent employee. I loved the company but there were no permanent positions at the time."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They were awesome. They treated every one with the utmost respect and always offered comfortable facilities to work in."

What do you like about working at ASC Process Systems?

"It was a challenging work environment- continually improving. I achieved more at ASC in the 2 years I worked there than I thought possible. After working there, I know I can do anything."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Tell the truth. Do not make yourself out to be more than you are. Know thyself. They will expect that as a minimum and push you to achieve more."

What don't you like about working at ASC Process Systems?

"Upper management appeared to not be concerned with unrealistic goals. We were always pushing the envelope. However, we were rewarded for diligent efforts. I always felt humble and small but I accomplished amazing things."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Realize that middle management is afraid to tell the truth. Lower managers, project engineers, carry a huge load. This is extremely frustrating when one is self motivated to succeed. I was placed in the moral dilemma to tell the truth and be chastised or lie and delay the inevitable- I always told the truth. It is a good company and I was never terminated for being the bearer of bad news. I would work there again given the opportunity."

"Good people in my working teams; however management did not seem to participate in day to day work, and had little knowledge of the needs there."

"Learn how to sell hardware properly, and account for costs"

"There was a good work-life balance and flexible schedule as long as your work was completed."

"If you are looking for somewhere to be employed and be allowed to have a personal life, this is the place. But don't expect rapid advancement in position or pay."

"Little opportunities for advancement. A flat management structure meant you were likely to stay where you were hired."

"Some people need a little incentive here and there to be productive and to be excited about their work."

"Penta had similar issues to many places, reasons for management decisions weren't clear to employees, sometimes bordering on disrespectful."

"Penta has made some positive changes, and the current structure is much more positive. Keep that up."
