"McLane Company has a rich 120 year history and a very people oriented work environment.In my role as a member of the I.T. team, the work is challenging but the ability to move into another role within the I.T. team or advance seems limited given the unique fact that McLane is a company where people have careers that can span 10-20 years. So change occurs slowly, which is great for stability but an obstacle to advancement."

"If you need a job that bad good luck. Unless you can play the game and are a robot don't even bother."

What don't you like about working at McLane?

"No communication inside the company. Management look after them selves and uses your comments as their own. Management treats the ee as slaves. They only show the owner what he wants to hear. Even when they put up a survey they only use the not so bad info. Total fakes"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be a manager not so busy kissing someone else's A__. Try to communicate to your ee what they need or what you need them to help with before you fire them without provocation."
