"After 20 years of deployments, I am ready to be home more. I still enjoy travel, but just not months at a time any longer."

"Train your people well, ensure they understand the objectives past their immediate environment, and then give them the authority and room to accomplish those objectives."

"The 'esprit de corps' among the Marines. The reputation of the Marine Corps. Knowing that I have served 20 yrs in the Corps and have learned from some of the greatest leaders in the world."

"Change is always good, often times it can be bad. I don't mind change at all, it is the way it is brought in that I didn't like."

"Ensure you know your workers. Know they trust you and will be there for them. Introduce change appropriately"
